This is our second writing prompt in our Wednesday Writing Prompt series — a set of simple exercises to get you thinking and writing about your business, your content marketing strategy and how you convey it all. Missed the first one? Check it out. Don’t forget: This isn’t meant to take you all day. You have a job and a life, I know. So, set a timer for 10 or 15 minutes and set your pencil (or keyboard) down when the timer dings.
This week’s writing prompt: How do you want clients to feel after an interaction with you?
Why should it matter what clients feel? Because in marketing, communication and sales, we spend way too much time thinking about what we want clients and customers to do. We want them to click, open, subscribe, buy, buy again. But how do we retain clients? By making sure they have a good experience with our brand. A good product is a good place to start, but is it enough? When a client interacts with you, will they walk away feeling under-valued? Will they feel anything at all? Once you know how you want your brand experience to translate, you can start to put processes in place to help you realize your goal.
Now, go write.
