AVC Wins APEX Award of Excellence

Aug. 8, 2024 — Active Voice Communications is proud to announce that we’ve won an APEX Award of Excellence for overall editorial content on our blog, which is a collaborative effort between Stephanie Conner and Shelley Flannery. But if we’re being honest, Shelley deserves the lion’s share of the credit for the blog’s writing. She’s a rockstar copywriter.

This is the first time APEX has recognized the AVC blog but our fifth APEX Award since 2018. Four earlier wins were for an AVC-produced podcast called Kiddos in the Kitchen hosted by Stephanie.

APEX Awards honor excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. The 2024 contest had more than 1,100 entries.

“As the post-COVID era evolved into the new world of Al and Chat GPT, many professionals in all fields had to adapt and face ever-changing standards and strategies. Those adaptations were extremely evident in the exceptional quality of all the submitted entries this year,” said APEX Awards Executive Editor Ken Turtoro. “Each year, the judges find it harder and harder to select the winners because of the high caliber of so many entries and 2024 was no exception.”

AVC Earns Its Fifth Platinum dotCOMM Award

Aug. 6, 2024 — We are proud to say that the Active Voice Communications blog once again received top honors in the dotCOMM Awards. This is the fifth time in six years we’ve received a Platinum Award for Content Marketing/Blog Writing in this competition.

The dotCOMM Awards competition is unique as it reflects the role creatives play in how products and services are marketed on the web. The awards program honors excellence in digital communication and creativity from corporate communication departments, public relations firms, digital shops, advertising agencies and freelancers around the world. As such, the winning work is “among the best in the industry,” according to the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals

AMCP judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. Only about 13% of entries win Platinum Awards (the highest honor); another 18% receive Gold Awards.

AVC Recognized with Two Gold Awards for Writing

Feb. 12, 2024 — Active Voice Communications is proud to announce that the AVA Digital Awards recognized us with two gold awards earlier this month. This is our fourth year in a row placing in the AVA Digital Awards.

Not only did we win a gold award for one of our individual blog posts (this one on why we’re not using ChatGPT for writing), but our overall blog won for writing as well. Yay for human writers!
