It’s tough to feel creative when you work in a beige box (or in the corner of your bedroom where clean laundry goes to die). Whether you go to an office or work from home, carve out some time to make your creative space feel, well, more creative.
First things first: Get organized. It’s tough to clear your mind when it’s constantly being bombarded with physical clutter. Recycle what you can and stow (just about) everything else out of sight. Next, add some color. According to Elle Décor, green is a “balancing hue” that boosts creativity while orange “sparks enthusiasm.” If painting isn’t an option, introduce color with plants, posters, furniture, etc. Lastly, add some art or creative touches that speak to you. Having a workspace you enjoy being in can do wonders for creativity — and productivity.
